Chaplain Takes to the Airadded 30th April 2009 No, SCORE hasn't invented the chaplaincy equivalent of the flying doctor; though there is a sense in which everything at Leicester City has been flying this season as they progressed towards the First Division championship. Rather Bruce Nadin, chaplain to Leicester City, was on the air waves when he was interviewed on his work at the club for this week's edition of the BBC "Faith in Britain" podcast. You can catch it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/faith. But be warned the whole programme is quite long. Bruce's bit comes in just over 19 minutes from the start. Seeing the club gain promotion after some very difficult years is a fitting high note on which Bruce concludes his chaplaincy there. In the summer he and his family move to South Africa where he will be working with "Ambassadors in Sport". "Bruce has done a great job developing the chaplaincy role at City," said John Boyers, SCORE's National Director, "and everyone at SCORE wishes him well in his new role. It's good to see that he'll still be involved in sports ministry." It's also good to know that the chaplaincy at Leicester City will carry on as Richard Gamble takes over this summer.
