SCORE is looking to appoint a full time Pastoral Support Director in English Football.  The appointment will be for a 2 year fixed term contract, home based preferably in London though involving a certain amount of travelling nationally.

Your role will be to direct and coordinate chaplaincy within professional football in England.  This will include supporting, resourcing, encouraging and motivating existing chaplains within football as well as looking to make new appointments at clubs.  You will also engage with the relevant football bodies such as the Premier League, Football League and Professional Footballers' Association to ensure that high quality pastoral support is being offered to the sport.  You will also be expected to share responsibilities with other SCORE staff in bringing leadership and vision to the organisation. 

You will be an experienced and pastorally gifted chaplain with proven experience of football club chaplaincy who is in good standing with other football chaplains and within the world of football.  As an excellent communicator at all levels you will have the ability to motivate and organise others.  Someone who enjoys working beyond the boundaries of your faith community, you will care for those of all faiths and none, while engaging with people in an open, inclusive way.  You will be good at team working and at exploring how theology relates to the world beyond the church.

Support and line management will be offered by the SCORE Management Committee and other SCORE members of staff.

Remuneration Package: Circa £23,500 per annum plus housing allowance and pension.
