We appointed a chaplain at Newcastle because we recognised that the newer generation of players could benefit from having someone in this role - to support them, befriend them, and help them keep a sense of perspective.  With the high intensity of the professional game I would commend the development of chaplaincy throughout rugby.

An Audience with Ian McGeechan Ian McGeechan, head coach of this year's British & Irish Lions Tour & Rugby Union legend, will be supporting SCORE on Friday 25th September, when he appears in "An Audience with Ian McGeechan" at the Clay Oven Banqueting Suites, Alperton (near Wembley), West London.

Before an expected audience of 400 Geech, as he is known within Rugby Union, will be talking about and answering questions on topics ranging from the recent Lions' tour to current issues within the game.

Tickets, available only in advance & not on the door, are £10 per person. All proceeds from the evening will go to support David Chawner's work as SCORE's Coordinator of chaplaincy in Rugby Union.
